Meditation Explained Workshop Series

Meditation Explained - Exploring the Nature of the Mind and the Power of Attention

June 12, 16, 19. 5-6PM AZ time via Zoom. Cost $30.


This workshop is  a 3-part workshop series. It is a journey of exploring the nature of the mind and the power of attention. It breaks down meditation into approachable, practical steps — designed to help you understand how the mind works, how to work with it, and how to create a sustainable meditation practice.

Each session is 1 hour and builds on the previous one:

  1. Introduction to the Process of Meditation
    Understand what meditation really is — beyond the myths — and why it matters. 
  2. The Interplay of Attention and Awareness
    Learn how your attention and peripheral awareness shape your experience — and how to train both for mental stability.
  3. Exploring Meditation Practice
    Experience guided practice, explore common challenges, and discover how to cultivate a consistent and rewarding meditation habit.

What You’ll Learn

  • How the mind naturally behaves — and how meditation helps us train it 
  • The cycle of meditation: attention → distraction → forgetting → mind-wandering → waking up
  • How to set an intention for your practice and make meditation a part of daily life
  • The difference between attention and awareness, why both matter, and how they can be engaged in meditation practice
  • Several meditation techniques

What to Expect

  • The workshops will be hosted via Zoom. A Zoom link will be sent to the registered participants via email on the day of the event. 
  • Presentation of material providing explanation of meditation process and the workings of the mind
  • Guided meditation practices  
  • Reflective and interactive small group sharing
  • Simple mental tools to calm your inner world
  • A welcoming, non-judgmental space to learn and grow
